In July I got to spend an afternoon documenting the children at Oliver Hill House where the Roanoke Big Brothers, Big Sisters program is housed. I enjoyed watching the kids make aliens out of juice boxes and learn about Neil Armstrong walking on the moon for the first time. They were an active and sassy group of kids, which made for a relaxed and fun shooting environment.

This will be the new home of my blog posts for a while!

I am going to begin this blog post by saying what most photographers say when life gets in the way: I haven't been sharing my work enough lately. The summer flew by, as did my internship at The Roanoke Times, and before I knew it I was in school again. It is Week Three here at Ohio University. I am taking my final photo class this semester and I can already feel the late nights creeping back into my life. I am nearing the end of my time here in Athens and need to make the time count, professionally and socially. As I get a few moments here and there I will begin updating my blog with summer work and current work. Cheers!
The pictures in the post are from my last day in Roanoke (my cat roommate, Tiger) and a trip to visit family in WV.
